French Clothing Habits

Need a little help to fill the luggage? A study by the site Shopcade describes trends in French.

If there is a good little fuss before leaving on vacation, it’s the choice of clothes to take to the suitcase . Although there was always a sense of what are the trends of the summer, we are never completely sure of what will be a hit on the seafront. To help us see more clearly, the shopping platform online Shopcade led his small survey of 27,800 French (58% women and 42% men) in order to illustrate their reports fashionable during the holidays.

First major observation: our countrymen regard their holiday as more casual look (72% of women and 91% men), rather than classier or more fashion than the rest of the year. So far nothing surprising. And what is the color favored for outfits each gender? Well that is white for ladies, chosen by 31% of respondents, just after the blue (28%) and red (15%) … chauvinistic, you said? For men, it’s the blue that gets favored by 48% of them after the red (30%) and a mixture of all colors (8%).

Guests “good” dressed

Another interesting fact: while some benefit from the summertime to completely renew their wardrobe and try out a few sartorial eccentricities, this is not the case of the French who claim not to change your look for summer (61% for women and 67% for men). And indeed, these looks are described as “smart casual” for the first (32%), closely followed by the look ” bohemian / hippie chic ” (31%), and as “simple and sport” Men who are 58% be followers of jeans, shorts and tank tops. Finally, it seems that this loyalty to our style is a good thing, since 50% of women and 61% believe that people are well dressed on holiday.

It is unclear if this will avoid the difficult dilemmas that precede looping suitcases, but the important thing is to feel well in his sneakers to enjoy it. Happy holidays!
