Djibouti. In May, Djibouti was subjected to a suicide bombing targeting the Western military for the first time. Three were killed and around 15 injured in the attack on a restaurant, among them representatives of the EU security operation and the Spanish Air Force. Two Somalis were, according to the Interior Ministry, behind the attack.
