San Marino. San Marino population in 2020 is estimated at 33,942. A former head of state and government, the doctor Pietro Berti, was sentenced in September to four years in prison for sexual abuse. Several of Berti’s female patients were behind the charge against him.
According to topb2bwebsites, Berti was “reigning captain” (head of government) 1998-99. The post is occupied by two members of parliament at a time who are sitting for six months.
